So I’ve totally been neglecting my wedding blog. I’ve been so busy launching our new business that every minute of every day for the past 2 weeks have been dedicated to that. Leaves little time to much of anything else. Sometimes I forget I’m planning a wedding! Certainly don’t want to put that on hold. :) But the business is doing great and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for it. We’re driving to Atlanta next weekend for my 10 year high school reunion and engagement photo session and I don’t feel ready for either!

So I honestly don’t know why or how I fell in love with vintage everything as I started planning this wedding. I think vintage = a fresh and classic look. And there’s so much one can do! I found these great postcards on Heather Bullard’s site and think these would make great DIY save the date announcements or part of your invitation suite printing a map or hotel accommodations on the back. I think I’m really going to try something like this soon with my own Save-the-Dates so if I do, I’ll post pics.
Anyone else incorporating a vintage “theme” or feel into your wedding?

So did I mention my groom and his best man will be rockin’ custom made Converse sneakers! It’s SO his style and can’t wait to see him in them! :)

If you haven’t checked out the contest 100 Layer Cake (partnering with Miniature Rhino) kicked off earlier this week, you should! Whoever comes up with the most creative idea on how to incorporate Miniature Rhino’s handstitched piece into their wedding- wins! I’ve already made my post…so don’t forget to add yours. They’ll be announcing the winner on Monday so you still have time to enter! This would be so great to hang up in your home after the big day! Miniature Rhino also has some other cool handcrafted items for sale on Etsy so definitely visit her shop.
