Happy Tuesday everyone! Today our pretty little seaside wedding comes from DMPJ by Glen Cooper. Christina and Greg’s wedding took place at the beautiful Ocean Edge Resort. Some of my favorite details from this wedding include the trolley shot, the beach table name idea, and beautiful brown/mahogany chiavari chairs! In case you didn’t know I consider our chiavari chairs my big “splurge” for our wedding. Didn’t know I’d be such a chair freak! Haha!
Anyway moving on…

How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was great! We finally got Mr. Oceanside’s ring (yay!), designed our CD Favor labels, decided on table names, our escort card designs, and think we finally know everyone who’s coming. You think we’d know by now exactly who is coming since our wedding is out of the country, but no, we got a few last minute RSVP’s from people who just booked their flights and hotels this weekend. We’re TWO weeks away! Gotta love our friends and family! =)
So that’s right peeps- we are 2 weeks away from today! WOOOOHOOOO! And even better? We got a really awesome surprise in the mail this weekend. This little envelope made us smile:

Well of course we had to send a wedding invitation to the President since we did get engaged while visiting DC for his inauguration on January 20, 2009! So this weekend we found this lovely little note in our mailbox from the White House! A great bonus is that since we received it before we leave to Cabo, it means we can put it up in a pretty little frame and place next to our guest book {puzzle} table. Soooo stinking excited!
If you want to send a wedding invitation to the President, here is how I addressed my envelope and the mailing address:
The Honorable Barack Obama & Mrs. Obama
The White House
Greetings Office, Room 39
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500
Keep in mind, that turn around times vary from 3 weeks to 3 months, and some girls waited longer or never received a reply at all. I honestly thought we would not receive a reply until after the wedding since we sent ours during wedding season, but it took us exactly 6 weeks to receive a reply back!
If you want to add to your fun list of keepsake RSVPs from other celebrities, just Google their fan mail addresses and send them one. You might just receive a response back! Another famous couple who receives wedding invites often? Mickey & Minnie Mouse of course! Sorry but that M&M couple didn’t get one from us though. I’m sure they are really bummed they can’t pack their speedo and bikini for a beach vacay with us! =)
When I was a little girl and we wanted to go to the beach, my mom always took us to Seal Beach where there were very little waves, making it a little safer for children to swim more freely which of course helped level a parents beach anxiety. We spent numerous beach days there and Mother’s Day picnics with my mom, aunts, grandmothers and great-grandmothers. Such great memories were created there for my family.
So of course you can imagine I was super excited to see that this super adorable couple, Samantha and Ryan, had their first date at the Ruby’s on the Seal Beach Pier, making memories of their own. When it came time to decide on a location to shoot their engagement session, there was no doubt in their minds exactly where it would be. Paige & Blake Green captured their amazingness, love, and cuteness all around in this fab engagement session on the pier!

I must say, Paige & Blake have a fan in me! Love this!
Okay so now onto a super sweet BBQ themed beach wedding this Monday morning. Yummy! Once again we get to see wedding goodness from Misty DeBlasio!
Here’s just a little more from Photographer, Misty to give us the wedding details from today’s oceanside couple’s big day: Colette and Gerald planned this destination wedding on Hilton Head with family and friends. Colette’s mother had recently passed away so a chair was placed on the beach in her memory and the bride placed a bouquet on it during the ceremony in honor of her mother. The couple’s first date was at Fox Bros Bar-B-Que in Atlanta (after that date Gerald told his mother that he had just met the woman he was going to marry), so the favors were bottle of barbeque sauce from the restaurant. The table centerpieces were postcards from places that the couple had visited together along with a framed photo from each visit. The wedding party was small, the bride was attended by her brother and nephew as ring bearer and Gerald had his brother as his best man. A violinist played, guests used parasols as shade and as Colette appeared over the dunes with her father, it became the perfect beach wedding that she had dreamed of. The guests tossed petals that were in silver buckets lining the aisles as the couple made their exit.

I loved the tribute Colette gave to her mother and all the personality the couple tied into their details! Thanks again to Misty for capturing another beautiful wedding and for sharing it with us!
