Staten Island Wedding from Jillian McDermott

Oooweee- I’m pretty sure this ah-mazing New York wedding from Jillian McDermott Photography is going to brighten up your Monday. It sure did for me!

The “oceanside” couple, Mary and Edward, are absolutely stunning. I’ve been obsessing a little (okay a lot) over the gorgeous bride’s Maggie Sottero gown! The twosome were married in Staten Island in an intimate beach fete followed by an oceanfront reception at the The Vanderbilt. Well, I’ve had this sweet purple beach bash in queue for far too long and I’m so excited I finally get to share it with you now!

So without further delay, here’s a bit more about the event from Jillian…Mary, the bride, is very much into a contemporary feel with decor but wanted to keep things traditional and classy such as her wedding gown by Maggie Sottero. She did change midway through reception to a more contemporary gown, also made by Maggie Sottero. Her husband, Edward, is Hispanic and wanted to incorporate his heritage into their wedding day. Since many of his family members were going to be at the wedding, they wanted to incorporate the Spanish language into their ceremony and vows. It was absolutely beautiful. Mary was hesitant to get married outdoors on the beach as she was afraid that she was going to create a show. She decided to go against her fear of being center of attention and proceed with her beach wedding. It truly was a show stopper as everyone watched this elegant bride make her way down the boardwalk onto the sand.

Rustic Beach Engagement and Furballs

Okay I love MyTu & Alex’s engagement session by Ari Simphoukham Photography . Like seriously. I not only love their beach photos but I adore those they took at that amazingly gorgeous rustic barn! And if I didn’t know they were in California, I would have thought the photos taken in the field were off somewhere in Ireland’s countryside.

MyTu and Alex both went to school in Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, so when they did their engagement session, they decided to bring their dogs to San Luis Obispo to get photographed. Again- love.

Jessica & Rolando’s Malibu Beach Wedding

I should have called today Malibu Friday. Why? Oh because I have another gorgeous Malibu wedding feature to share with you. :) This time from Chelsea Elizabeth Photography! Jessica & Rolando’s lovely plum wedding was perfectly set up beach side with an amazingly fun reception at the Sunset Restaurant. I mean really…what better way to end the night than with some glow sticks!

Malibu Engagement from Emma Jane Photography

This Yahtzee themed engagement shoot snapped by Emma Jane Photography is a fun-tastically good way to start of this Friday, don’t you think?  Elizabeth & Jordan were engaged on the same Malibu, California beach that their e-session was taken. They are just too adorable! Oh- and I’m loving the lighting as the sunset on them!
