So you girls may have heard of Ardyss, a line of body, nutrition, personal care, and beauty products. Well my best friend Windy became an independent distributor of Ardyss. One hot item is their body reshaper. It’s doing wonders for many women! Yes, I believe you still need to get your exercise in and eat healthy to lose weight, but if you’re in need of a quick reshape or lift for any of your “trouble” areas, this might be a solution for you. I’ve seen the before and after pics and they are amazing! Check her out for more info!
So in a few minutes I’ll be heading to the airport on my quest to find the perfect reception venue for me & my honey. My mom and close friend (also wedding coordinator) are joining me on my travels. I’m getting more nervous and excited about how real this is becoming! I can’t wait. I plan on taking our video camera with me so I can bring back our options. Mark has to work so we’re planning another trip out there in September and are scheduled to take our engagement pictures then. I’ve designated Wed. July 15th as the day we have to make a decision on the reception venue. I have 5 appointments scheduled with reception venues for Thursday & Friday and will be attending Bride World (bridal expo) on Saturday. I think the planning will all start coming together once I get back! I’ll have updates on Monday!
So I haven’t experienced my first wedding day dream just yet, but with me 2 days away from heading out to California to tour reception venues, I’m getting wedding planning anxiety already. In between my tossing and turning last night, I thought about my “thank you” speeches the day of, how thankful I am to have the mom, best girlfriends, sisters, and other family members I do in my life and what I want to say to them. I’ve started rethinking maybe I want to have more than just a MOH and have my best girlfriends by myside on my special day. I debated the idea about whether or not to have a Thursday wedding and what important people in my life might miss out if I do. So many decisions and I have the feeling I don’t have enough time to make them! I still have a year left so what am i worried about!?! Anyone else ever feel this way? I’m sure…this is how brides feel during the planning process isn’t it?

I’m starting to collect pics of hairstyles I might like to try when the time comes. I’m considering a half up/half down look for the ceremony and after pics and maybe pinning up in a side bun for the reception. I’ve already bought my veil…medium length & lace trimmed. I have long wavy hair and I’ve never been satisfied with any professional hairstyle I’ve had done for prom, homecoming, or any wedding I’ve been in so this will be interesting. I hope this isn’t the one task that makes the bridezilla come out of me! I’ve never liked my hair.
So yes, I’ll probably end up spending oodles of money on trial hairdo appointments just to make sure it’s perfect. The biggest stress of mine is that I live in Florida, but getting married in California so I won’t be there but a few days in advance to do trials with a salon I might want to use. Who knows what I’ll end up doing? Anyone have thoughts or suggestions when it comes to hair, but planning for a destination wedding?

Elizabeth Ann Designs Inspiration Board
I’d like to narrow down my wedding colors soon and have been on the hunt for some inspiration. I headed over to Elizabeth Ann Designs since she always creates awesome inspiration boards! I love these colors in this board and picture big, splashing waves just over those sand hills. I absolutely LOVE the parasol idea and think I will definitely incorporate it somehow into the wedding or engagement photos. I just thought I would share this board because it just looks really “refreshing” with the blue skies and pitcher of something cold to drink! A must have for a summer wedding!
Since I’m planning a California wedding from Florida, I’m planning my first trip out there mid-July to check out venues, vendors, and more! Thanks to my lovely cousin Christen for mailing me a Brides Southern California magazine, because I just found out that I’ll be there when the Brides World, a bridal expo will be in town (July 11-12)! I registered early online so I’ll get a $2 discount off my entrance fee at the door for me and my family who tags along! Got to save all the money I can! Two dollars will go a long way! This is exciting because I have NO clue about any of the local vendors as far as flowers, music, caterers, bakeries, etc. go, so hopefully I’ll take away a ton of ideas!
