Came across this very amazing modern ocean themed wedding table decor on Elizabeth Anne Designs blog today and fell in love!  Forget paying the money to marry in a fancy aquarium banquet hall when you can create your own! Orchids, succulents, lit candles and other beautiful oceanic details created a serene and intimate setting.  When I see these beautiful nautical pictures I imagine hearing sofa spa-like music playing the sound of ocean waves crashing in the background while a small group of family and friends toast a happy future to the newly-wed couple.  Check out more details on this modern ocean wedding table decor at Elizabeth Anne Design’s blog!

My mom is AWESOME and did a lot of DIY projects for my step-sister.  I’m looking forward to her helping me with some of my own for our wedding next July!  Here were some things that were put together:

Fans for the beach ceremony were tied with green ribbon

Wedding C&S 030

Sand & seashell centerpieces

Wedding C&S 031

Handmade scented candles for favors

Wedding C&S 085

Wedding C&S 089

My mom also ordered several items such as table linen, tiki torches, candles, and other decor from Oriental Trading for the “Welcome Luau” held the night before the wedding.

We toured V20 with Victoria and she was great and so was the venue.  Originally we were looking for a “lounge-like” venue and this met my expectations 110%.  The decor is asian-inspired, with funky seating areas, a bambou tunnel separating the main dance area from the more private Bambou Lounge and outdoor patio.  Retro-brides would love this place.  I loved how everything was set up (from the bars, the lounge seating, and even the restrooms! Ha ha! Gotta make sure the restrooms are fun too! While in CA I filmed everything so when I got back to Mr. Oceanside, unfortunately he thought it looked too “clubby”.  It’s still on the table since our #1 venue is still up in the air with their pricing menus and all, so we’ll see!

lantern via BridalPartyTees

OMG! How cool would these be as centerpieces for an oceanside wedding!  Found these great photo lanterns on the Bridal Party Tees blog featuring a great tutorial from Decor8.  This would be a great lighting option and a way to personalize your weddind decor.  You could use baby pictures, family & friend pictures and of course pictures of the both of you together.  I LOVE this idea!

Tulle Branches via Elizabeth Ann Designs

Beetlegirl Design via Elizabeth Ann Designs

I found this great centerpiece idea!  Beetlegirl features a tutorial on her site on how to create them.  I think the “nature” look is cool and classic.  I’ve thought about doing something similar to this but the tulle idea is a fresh idea.  Check out Beetlegirl for other DIY projects for wedding decor.
