The Bride

The name is Meleesa, but Mel to those who think they might butcher the name “Meleesa”. =) I’m a 30-something year old recently married destination bride living in Florida with my crazy supportive husband and sweet Boston Terrier fur baby. Shortly after being engaged in January 2009 and tossed into the world of wedding planning, we decided to set our wedding date for August 1, 2011 and do it destination all the way baby. In an intimate wedding, surrounded by 50 of our closest friends and family, we took our vows and began our life together as husband and wife in beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. With plenty of planning, patience, and love, we were able to create our perfect seaside wedding fairytale! I created this blog as a way to journal my own wedding planning as well as share real life love stories and experiences of many other destination wedding couples from around the world.
