DIY Tissue Pom Pom Tutorial

Tissue pom poms anyone? I made big green and yellow poms about a year ago for my sister’s “Never Land” couple’s shower and everyone loved them! They add so much fun to any event with very little supplies and effort.

If you ever wondered how to make these adorable tissue poms you’ve seen around the web, you can now find a DIY video tutorial on the lovely Pizzazzerie‘s blog. Jacin from Lovely Little Details shares a step-by-step guide so you can create these pretty paper details yourself!

Another bonus for all you brides in the San Francisco area? Craft your poms with Jacin herself at her new wedding planning workshop called Save the Date – scheduled for October 12th! I soooo wish I lived close by because I’d be there!

Don’t the poms look amazing hanging from the deck and blowing in the wind? They added the perfect pop of color to our tequila tasting decor! The Sea of Cortez and mountains in the background make it all breathtaking. =)

Creative Escort Card Ideas

Was in the mood to share some beach themed escort cards with you all this lovely Wednesday! Typically your escort cards will go hand in hand with your general wedding decor or theme of course so if you’re going for  a beach themed wedding or just have a love for the ocean, here’s a collection of a few pretty little escort ideas. Simple, but statement worthy.

Collect starfish or sand dollars and add name tags to them to help your guests find their seat. Or you may want to write their names directly on them to add a special touch and have them double up as favors. For the budget conscious bride, just head to the beach to collect a few pretty rocks or different colored seashells and again either write your guests’ names directly on them or add a small escort card to them.

One of my favs? The message in a bottle- so cute!
