I’m BAAAACCCKKK and I’m a MRS! So freakin’ weird to say but it’s true and I can’t be more excited! So much to update you on but just as I make a slow transition back into reality, I will slowly roll out the goods from my bridal shower (I know I’m about a month behind on those pics), my fantabulous wedding invites (ummm, I’m assuming everyone has received theirs now that the wedding is over- haha!) and our own wedding day updates, recaps, and official “Oceanside Bride” planning advice for all you brides-to-be! OMG- so much to share!
Well I’m going to hold off on my updates for today but considering it’s been dreary and raining all day in Florida, this perfectly cute e-session from one of my new fav photographers, Michael James, comes right on time. Nancy & Jeff’s e-session hit the spot for me this morning- sunny, beachy, and fun!
Okay before I share what Michael had to say about the sweet couple, I must give him ONE) a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout out!! We won’t say what decade he welcomed just yesterday but it’s lookin’ like its certainly going to be a goodie and has some awesome new experiences in store for him because TWO) and now for my humongous CONGRATULATIONS, he became a new daddy just about 16 days ago to a precious baby boy!! So much to celebrate right?!
Happy {belated} birthday Michael and again congrats to you & your beautiful wife on your new son!!
Okay and back to sharing some of their photography skills… =) Here’s a little from Michael on Nancy and Jeff’s beach engagement session…
Their e-shoot took place at a small semi-hidden beach off of Highway 1 just a few miles and a short hike north of Santa Cruz, CA. Even they didn’t know the name of it, but it was definitely “their” beach. They’ve spent countless days there walking the sand and enjoying the water.
Jeff and Nancy met at work. They have a serious passion for live music, particularly of the jazzy persuasion. Nancy is one of the kindest, family oriented souls I’ve ever known. Jeff, on the other hand, is a man after my own heart – he’s a mountain biker. We’ve become such great friends through getting to know them during their engagement shoot and wedding, that we have planned on meeting up and getting in some mountain bike rides in the near future.
As I prepped for today’s post, I realized how much I have seriously missed blogging and sharing sweet engagements and real wedding inspiration. Phew! I needed this fix seriously bad!
So to kick things off, I have Allison & Graham’s very sweet California beach engagement session taken by the very, very talented Lindsey Gomes. There are some very lucky brides in California to have her right in their backyard! Seriously lucky. I love the “soft feel” of Lindsey’s photography and it sounds like she had a super duper fun and so-in-love couple to work with for this session! They traveled from Cambria to San Simeon Beach, stopping along the way to take these beautiful photos.

I just love when beautiful photography passes my way. Modern Love Photography gets me every time. When I opened up this engagement session submission and saw the amazing vintage-esque photography (yes I think this love spell even has me making up my own words) I was blown away. Denise Birdsong from Modern Love has some serious talent! And of course the makeup done by Ashlyn Taylor from Madame Me Makeup and Hair Styling is always phenomenal.
I seriously want some photos just. like. this. I love the black and white with the vintage “touch” in these!
