Blush Pink Wedding Day at the Beach

We continue the afternoon with more Florida wedding fun! The day of Rachel and Keith’s wedding was a typical stormy Florida day with wind, rain and grey skies but it made for a perfect dramatic background for Jessica Johnson and Chelsea D’Ariano of Stay Forever Photography. The Jupiter Civic Center is a very casual beach venue but the couple transformed it into a shabby chic romantic atmosphere. I’m head over heels in love with the bride’s and bridesmaid’s ever-so-blush dresses and their breathtaking Florida beach ceremony. Their wedding day details are just so sweet!

A Santa Rosa Beach Wedding

I’m back! I know it got a little quiet around here after I decided to take a last minute blog-cation last week (and yesterday). Although I had some gorgeous real wedding features locked and loaded it got a little since we went out of town to visit family.  The week was jam packed as we celebrated my hubby’s birthday, our nephew’s 1st birthday, finished making my sister’s save the dates magnets and then helped her and mom package them up pretty to be shipped out to her guests today! Phew- a busy week it was but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. There’s nothing like waking up in my ma’s house for a week and spending two wonderful weekends with family.

But now that we’re back in Florida, it couldn’t be more fitting that I have not just one Florida wedding feature for you today, but TWO! Sooo that’s a hint to come back this afternoon for more Florida beach wedding action. ;)

First up comes from Kay Meyer Photography with Joslyne & Wes’s spring time wedding. Their big day was held in the sweet little beach town of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. My step-sister got married there two years ago and it’s such a perfect and quaint little place to get married. If you need a little more action though while visiting or entertaining guests, Panama City is about a 40 minute drive away with Destin only being about 30. But the area is not too crowded and you’ll find the most adorable beach homes for rent- perfect for an intimate family gathering.

Joslyne and Wes carried out a sweet bird theme throughout their day and later danced the night away poolside at their night time reception. Oh and just so you know- I’m drooling over their cake!

Pensacola Beach Wedding by Oeil Photography

I.LOVE.HER.HAIRSTYLE. Okay now that we got that out of the way, we can move on.  Coming to us from Oeil Photography, we have a pretty plum Pensacola Beach, Florida wedding for you today!

And okay I have to back there, but her hair and natural floral adornments?? Stunning.  I love it so much I included two of the same photos in this post. Hehehe…you’ll see, perfect beach wedding hair.

A snippet more from Michelle Oeil: Lindsey and Chris were married a day before the oil spill reached Pensacola’s white sands. A stroke of luck to start off their marriage, I’d like to think. They were an extremely happy and in-love couple… I didn’t have to work hard at all because their emotions did all the talking. Extremely memorable and special day!

Need an easy beach “aisle” idea? Do what this couple did and use simple streamers attached to bamboo sticks or if the beach or pier already have posts, use those to create a pretty beach “aisle” for the wedding party to walk through./>

Bluest of Blue Oceans: Florida Trash the Dress

Happy Monday everyone! This week officially kicks off the true holiday season! Or do we technically start that at Halloween? Anywho- can’t believe 2011 is coming to an end already. So many amazing things have happened to many of us this year and despite any challenges we’ve each faced, there is so still so much to be thankful for.

And I’m always thankful for the beautiful blue oceans and true love.  So what better way to start this week of thanks off than with those two things!

On this lovely Monday (p.s. aren’t all Mondays on a short work week the loveliest?), I have the most stunning trash the dress session from Michelle Castle Photography that I ever did see.

Here’s the scoop from Michelle…

Leslie & Rory are an amazing couple that have had 3 destination photo shoots with me! (the couple resides near Auburn, AL-Rainbow City to be exact) The 1st was their engagement session in Apalachicola, FL in March 2011, then their wedding in the fabulous 30-A area of Santa Rosa Beach, FL this September ,and then this daring Trash the Dress Session at the edge of the jetty’s in Destin, FL the day after their wedding! Don’t let this beautiful backdrop fool you, this couple worked hard walking some 100 yards across large uneven rocks to get the very tip of the jettys. leslie’s dress was heavy and the conditions were difficult with literally 100′s of jelly fish surrounding us! Leslie had one goal in mind and that was a beautiful wall canvas to showcase their destination wedding experience. Going on just a few hrs sleep, the couple braved their morning after the wedding trash the dress session with only 1 cup of coffee. After the session was over they cleaned up, headed to Atlanta, & caught a flight to the Caribbean.

Oh- and to thank everyone for all of your amazing support throughout the year and celebrating the recent launch of my new Etsy shop, Oceanside Designs, I’ll be kicking off 12 Days of Christmas deals and discounts starting this Friday. I absolutely can’t wait!!
