I found this great centerpiece idea! Beetlegirl features a tutorial on her site on how to create them. I think the “nature” look is cool and classic. I’ve thought about doing something similar to this but the tulle idea is a fresh idea. Check out Beetlegirl for other DIY projects for wedding decor.

I’m starting to collect pics of hairstyles I might like to try when the time comes. I’m considering a half up/half down look for the ceremony and after pics and maybe pinning up in a side bun for the reception. I’ve already bought my veil…medium length & lace trimmed. I have long wavy hair and I’ve never been satisfied with any professional hairstyle I’ve had done for prom, homecoming, or any wedding I’ve been in so this will be interesting. I hope this isn’t the one task that makes the bridezilla come out of me! I’ve never liked my hair. :( So yes, I’ll probably end up spending oodles of money on trial hairdo appointments just to make sure it’s perfect. The biggest stress of mine is that I live in Florida, but getting married in California so I won’t be there but a few days in advance to do trials with a salon I might want to use. Who knows what I’ll end up doing? Anyone have thoughts or suggestions when it comes to hair, but planning for a destination wedding?

So here’s my 2nd attempt at an inspiration board. Slightly opposite of the last one, this would incorporate bolder colors like turquoise and gold. I like the combo because this is a little “unlike” me but still incorporates two of my favorite colors. I have a little harder time at piecing the MOH & MOB attires in my head when I see this one though so I’m still not sure if this will be my color scheme. Still working on one more board…we’ll see if I can get it right soon! I still have some time I guess.

Since we’re having a destination wedding, I’ve started looking for Save-the-Date ideas and naturally coming across some really great invitation ideas too! I think I’m falling in love with the booklet-style wedding invitation format. This one caught my eye! I wonder if somehow I can make this a DIY project. Ryan Masuga, who created this wedding booklet for his wedding, did it on his own, but it sounds like he has graphic design skills which I know nothing about! I had to share this invitation though….such a creative and unique idea!
