Beach and Ballpark Engagement by Carrie McCluskey

I couldn’t wait to share this awesome engagement session from the awesome Carrie McCluskey. I love Carrie’s work and was thrilled to receive this shoot from her.  The location picks were amazing! The beach and Petco Park (home of the San Diego Padres people!) equals a pretty fabulous engagement session if you ask me!

I adore every angle of love Carrie captured between this gorgeous couple.  Don’t you think they could both be models? So photogenic!

I absolutely LOVE her dress!

I love the look of the vintage brick buildings in the background and this awesome shot taken of the couple on the patio of Cafe Chloe in downtown San Diego.

I’m totally a sucker for forehead kisses…

How amazing is this photo?  Love the idea of an engagement session at a baseball stadium!

Carrie and the so-in-love couple made it right on time for some lovely sunset photos at the beach…

I especially have a deep {love} for doggies so this one made me smile.

Don’t you agree these photos are simply breathtaking?  There couldn’t have a been a more beautiful sunset to wrap up this engagement session.  Carrie did a fabulous job capturing some amazing detailed shots of this couple. Thank you so much Carrie for sharing these amazing photos with us.  We hope to see photos from their July wedding that will be held at Sherton Harbor Island this summer!

Don’t forget to head over to see more of Carrie’s work here (especially you San Diego or SoCal brides)!

Custom Ring Pillows for Your Little Guy (or Gal)

Do you still have ring pillows left on your checklist to buy?  Since our wedding will be small (and out of the country) we will not have any children traveling with us so therefore, no Ring Bearer.  Boo, I know.  But if I was in the market for a really unique, possibly even a custom-made ring pillow for the sweet boy (or girl), I know I’d find a great selection over at Etsy.

I have a fetish for all things burlap and big fabric flowers so I believe one of these would have been high on my list…

Loving this beautiful burlap heart shaped ring pillow!

Or even one of these fabulous ring pillows to add a pop of  color to your beach wedding…

Swooning over these oh-so-pretty and lovely collection of cream, tan, and gray ring pillows.  Check out the hint of bling on the gray one below!

So brides, how did you customize your ring pillow?

A Group Trash the Dress Session from Kevin Jacobus

What do you get when you add five brides to a bridal forum? An awesome Trash the Dress session of course!  The first set of photos are a collection of trash-the-dress sessions shared by awesome photographer Kevin Jacobus.  He shot these oh-so-pretty brides and beach shots around the Boston area. Can you believe I’ve still never been to Boston? I hear it’s so much fun!

Kevin truly knows how to capture the serenity and love within each individual bride in his photos. Check out these lovely ladies…

Drum roll please….and now for my favorite shot!  A group of brides got to know each other so well while planning their own weddings and interacting on wedding forums that they decided to take the “plunge” together and booked a group trash the dress session in Gloucester, MA! How freakin’ cool is that!

We thank Kevin and these beautiful brides for sharing this experience with us!

Whirly Pops Used as Wedding Props

Whirly pops are continuing to POP up on the wedding scene and used in such geniously unique ways. Recently sharing the vintage circus wedding of Renee & Jason and seeing their creative use of whirly pops as escort cards (which you can see here), made me think of all the other fun ways I’ve seen them used at other weddings.

The fun rainbow and swirl colors and amusing shapes make small children and adults (who most are really just big kids right?), smile with delight at the sight of one of these suckers.

Use them as a centerpiece as part of your tablescape. Or use these yummy pops as a wedding favor or on a dessert bar. Another cute idea is using a whirly pop as a prop in your engagement or wedding photos!

I couldn’t find any pictures, but thought it might be really cute to have your bridesmaids carry these in lieu of flowers. Would certainly add some flair to your event!

What other ways have seen these fun and delicious whirly pops used?
