Keep Calm and Cyber On…
We no longer fret when Black Friday is over because not only do we have Small Business Saturday now, we of course have Cyber Monday!
But wait- before we talk Cyber Monday, did anyone actually go out Friday? It was C-R-A-Z-Y! Oh yes…your girl Mel was out there. It’s been tradition for my sister and I to go out and bare the cold, the crazies, even after many years of coming home disappointed by the lack of any real deals. But we can’t remember a time it was so bad! Now that so many stores open up at midnight its so much easier for peeps to stay awake and dive into the shops, than to go to sleep and wake your butt up at 4am to go shopping.
AND I was pleasantly surprised when I happened to be one of the first 50 people in line to purchase something from Rack Room Shoes and receive a door buster gift. My gift? Drum roll please….
A freakin’ YEAR’s worth of shoes! Can you believe it?! I was in total shock and then immediately went into “Oh shizzle” mode because after my sister pretty much “announced” my winnings to the very crowded, prize demanding mob around us, I did my best to place my voucher back in my purse as inconspicuously as I could before walking back to the car and then prayed we didn’t get jumped!
So you can imagine after that was our first stop in the run, it gave us the energy we needed to forge ahead and scope out the rest of the late night shopping scene.
